You will work with a group to research an assigned pre-Columbian society's culture, artwork, dwellings/shelter, beliefs, physical characteristics of the land they live on, food, and clothing. Your research will be turned into a presentation for the museum. Your presentation will need two components of your choice:
Once your presentation is complete, your group will present to the class. While other groups are presenting, each of you will take notes on the culture and information from the other pre-Columbian societies being presented. Notes taken will be used to create a text of your choice (brochure, newspaper article, etc.) to compare and contrast two of the pre-Columbian societies.
Finally, you will develop an overall claim, or generalization, about the pre-Columbian societies, based on what you have learned. This needs to be written so you can share it with the class.
- One multimedia- Google slideshow, video, weebly, fakebook, etc.
- One non-multimedia- artwork, display board of photos, collage, clothing example, food, etc.
